FLOW – Pepe López & Dot Fiftyone Gallery, Miami
February 2025
FLOW is a floor painting by Pepe López, created for his exhibition Guapísimas at Dot Fiftyone Gallery. It depicts the Orinoco River and its tributaries at scale and is accompanied by three sound pieces composed specifically for the exhibition by musician Miguel La Corte.
The compositions, titled “Pseudo Ecologies I, II & III”, are based on a frequency-modulation synthesis process inspired from the rhythmic patterns of stridulating insects (i.e., cicadas), which are very common in the Amazon region.

Tonada de Galopeo - José García Oliva
Abra art gallery, Caracas
January 2025
Tonada de galopeo is a solo exhibition by José García Oliva at ABRA (Caracas, Jan 17–Apr 6, 2025). Through different works, the exhibiton examines Venezuela’s white horse (an emblem of the national coat of arms and a mythic image of independence) outside the triumphant frame that fixed it in patriotic iconography.
For this installation I created a spatial soundscape that foregrounds the rhythm of a horse’s gait in dialogue with a reharmonized version of Simón Díaz’s Tonada de luna llena; Long recognized as a Venezuelan folk standard of the llanera tradition, the piece’s moonlit imagery and work-song cadence are woven into the nation’s cultural memory.
A custom, hidden multichannel sound system I installed moves the hoof-beats and vocal harmonies through the room, inviting the public to “ear-read” the figure of the horse through sound motion and memory.
The sonic intervention converses with the exhibition’s core idea by asking what remains audible of the nation when we follow the horse by ear instead of by image.

Silence poem by Raphael Koranda
09.2023
"Silence" is both a digital poem by Rapahel Koranda accompanied by a soundscape by Miguel La Corte. The poem stages the tension between unrelenting noise and generative quiet—an inquiry into how late-modern, networked life is shaped by simultaneous silences.
For this commission, I created an intimate soundscape that interprets Raphael Koranda’s Silence digital poem. The composed soundscape exists within the website https://ssshhh.xyz/
Beyond the web piece and soundscape development, I set up a custom Processing script to trigger samples and visual cues, installed a small multichannel setup with microphones, and handled live sound engineering for the peom’s live performance at Brotfabrik, Berlin.
